UNSECURED PROPERTY TAXES
If full payment is not received or United States Postal Service postmarked on or before October 31, we will impose an additional $29 Notice of Lien collection cost and record a Certificate of Tax Lien with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (Recorder) in the name of the assessee listed on the Unsecured Property Tax Bill. The lien will attach to any real property the assessee owns in Los Angeles County until the taxes, penalties, and costs are paid in full.

HOW TO RELEASE YOUR TAX LIEN
We will issue a tax lien release once your Unsecured Property Tax Bill is paid in full. If you have paid your bill in full and have not received your tax lien release, you may contact us at email@example.com or (213) 893-7935, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, excluding Los Angeles County holidays.
Please be advised that we only have information regarding liens filed by this Department and recorded by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. If you have a lien filed against you by another entity or person, such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Franchise Tax Board, the Employment Development Department, or a contractor, please contact that entity or person directly.
